NEW PAGES WILL APPEAR IN KAZAKHSTAN PASSPORTS

The Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan has proposed to amend the Tax Code relating to changes of passports. In particular, passports will be issued with a large number of pages - 48 pages for Kazakhstan citizens who often travelling abroad.

The passport's price, consisting of 48 pages will be 52,909.84 tenge for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Accordingly, the state duty for this category is proposed to be increased by 12 monthly notional units (35,004 tenge this year).

In addition, the state duty for issuing passports to children under 16 years old will be reduced from 8 to 4 monthly notional units (from 23,335 tenge to 11,668 tenge this year) by decreasing the number of pages up to 22.
