Ministry of Industry and Ministry of Energy discussed issues related to aviation fuel assurance

Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov and Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Magzum Mirzagaliyev held a joint working meeting related to aviation fuel assurance for civil aviation purposes involving the leaders of domestic airports, airlines, national companies such as KazMunaiGaz, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and other aviation fuel suppliers.
During the session, the leadership of aviation organizations such as Civil Aviation Committee, Air Astana, SKAT, Qazaq Air, KazMunaiGaz, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Nur-Sultan and Almaty airports have submitted their reports regarding the running balances of aviation fuel at airports, consumption and production until the end of this year, thereby considering plans for 2022, shipment and transportation of aviation fuel by rail.
Aviation fuel suppliers were instructed to take measures to accelerate the shipment of aviation fuel in short-term by bringing the produced fuel to airlines. All the enterprises were requested to submit project plans for fuel consumption until 2030 in order to provide the aviation fuel at petroleum refineries.
Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Beibut Atamkulov urged airlines and airports to fully ensure the regular passenger traffic, considering the upcoming holidays. Minister of Energy Magzum Mirzagaliyev stressed that the aviation fuel produced by domestic refineries fully covers the needs of airlines. According to him, the aviation market has seen a significant increase in cargo and transit services, requiring the aviation fuel provision.
