Experts from the EAEU countries discussed aviation security issues

During the transport week at the Eurasian Economic Commission, a plenary meeting on aviation security issues was held. Experts from the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan took part in this conference.
The meeting was opened by the head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Transport of Russia, Viktor Basargin.
The delegation of Kazakhstan was represented by:
Darkhan Katyshev, Director of the Aviation Security Department of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC, Daniyar Kanlybayev, Head of the Dangerous Goods Department of the Aviation Security Department of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC, Ardak Bedelbayev, Chief Inspector of the Aviation Security Department of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC.
The following issues were discussed at the conference: the exchange of experience in conducting an ICAO audit in aviation security and the passage of practical training (OJT) by state inspectors in the field of aviation security. Formation of best practices and implementation in national policy.
There was an exchange of views on issues of digitalization and automation in the field of state control and supervision of aviation security.
According to the results of the meeting, a corresponding resolution will be adopted. Noting the importance of ensuring aviation security, the conference participants agreed to note the following in the solution:
1. On the practicality of creating a permanent working group on aviation security at the site of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
2. On strengthening and developing cooperation between our countries on aviation security issues.
3. Effective interaction between ICAO and representatives of the EAEU Member States regarding the Mechanism of Continuous Monitoring within the framework of the Universal Program of Inspections in the field of Aviation Security.
We have agreed to hold such conferences annually in a rotating mode.
