The technical provider of the Aeroflot group quickly determines a bacterium in aviation fuel

Aircraft maintenance provider A-Technics (Aeroflot group) has introduced a new technology for determining the presence of bacteria in fuel samples during maintenance.

Previously, this analysis took several days and had been done in special stationary laboratories outside the company's production facilities. This procedure is now done by the latest equipment HY-LiTE 2 System within one hour, allowing to quickly perform the aircraft maintenance.

Bacteria analysis in fuel samples is a mandatory maintenance procedure to ensure stable and fail-free operation of the aircraft fuel system. The analysis requirements are contained in the plan activities and are also implemented during aircraft storage or suspicion of the bacteria in the fuel. The frequency of this procedure is set by the aircraft manufacturer.
