NordWind will launch Nur-Sultan - Kaliningrad flight

The commercial director of the NordWind airline Anton Mattise commented on the first launch of direct flights from Kaliningrad to Nur-Sultan and Almaty, sknews.kz writes.

“Historically, the demand for flights between Kazakhstan and Russian cities such as Kaliningrad is enormous since the region is home to a large Kazakh community. In addition, there is a need for business and tourism purposes. We are confident that the new transport opportunities will provide business development in Russian regions, as well as assist people from various Russian regions to discover Central Asia. In the future, when travel conditions become more liberal, we will increase the number of flights between Russia and Kazakhstan”,  the message says.

The company intends to open new directions, connecting Russia and Kazakhstan. The nearest routes are St. Petersburg, Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan and Ufa. According to preliminary estimates, these are the most popular travel destinations in the Eurasian space.
