Professional Training Center completed the development of the third ICAO course

Upon request, the course developers of the Professional Training Center developed the ICAO course "Meteorological Equipment Maintenance Personnel Training", being the third ICAO course developed by the Center's experts in 2021. Therefore, the Center continues implementing the competence-based approach methodology in accordance with ICAO standards.

The new professional course for aviation personnel has been elaborated under complicated and arduous process ​that requires a lot of analytical rigour and the study of special scientific publications by integrating different specialists. Thus, meteorological experts participated in drafting the course, and all the trainers who successfully completed the ICAO Training Instructor Course in 2021, also participated in the course validation.

The course will provide the knowledge and skills to meteorological equipment maintenance personnel required to implement meteorological equipment maintenance procedures, including installation, monitoring, maintenance, failure diagnosis and a safe working environment.

The first ten students are specialists from Meteorological Equipment Maintenance Service, being representatives of seven branches of the RSE “Kazaeronavigatsia” and who have successfully completed this course and will receive the ICAO certificates.
