The MIID RK and DHL have concluded a memorandum of cooperation

The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and "DHL Logistics" LLC have signed a memorandum of cooperation in developing the transport and logistics infrastructure of the cargo terminal of "Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport" JSC.

The project is being implemented under new development strategy until 2035, thereby introducing new logistics technologies and improving the quality of services, processing, storing, delivery of the goods at the capital airport. Over the next three years, DHL will invest 4 billion tenge in new premises, covering an area of ​​8 thousand square meters. In turn, the MIID RK will provide all the support required for implementation of the investment project.

The memorandum was signed by the Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Kamaliev and DHL's Director of Logistics Mark Leineweber.

According to the document, MIID RK and the global logistics operator have agreed to cooperate in improving the logistics climate at the Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport; developing the multimodal cargo transportation and creating the integrated logistics products based on IT technologies; exchange of experience in developing the terminal handling and cargo transportation, both in Kazakhstan and internationally, thereby attracting new import and export cargo flows.
