Aviation inspectors of Kazakhstan participated at the ICAO Global Aviation Security Symposium 2021 (AVSEC-2021)

The annual ICAO Global Aviation Security Symposium (AVSEC-2021) was held online and was attended by employees of the Aviation Security Department of the "Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan" JSC. The current Symposium included the special sessions dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. It was noted that the aviation security has been improved over the past 20 years by solving the main security issues in the aviation industry.
This session was also devoted to the civil aviation staff, notably their adaptation to the COVID-19 pandemic - new tool in improving the skills of aviation security staff. Experts shared their best practices in training and strengthening safety positions, enhancing the aviation safety culture based on the importance of the human dimension. Undoubtedly, the lessons learned have been converted into innovative, revised approaches and crisis management procedures.
Under the ICAO's recommendations, adopted at the 40th session of the ICAO Assembly regarding the importance of developing a strong aviation security culture, the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan has undertaken work on elaborating an awareness and strengthening the aviation security in the Republic of Kazakhstan. A round table on the topic "2021 - the year of aviation security culture" was organized with the participation of civil aviation representatives. A special video had been shown for the purpose of explaining and supporting the aviation security culture.
The footage developed by the Aviation Administration is posted on the official ICAO website for sharing experience and promoting the aviation security culture in the international aviation community.
