The new helicopter cockpit is presented

The "Russian Helicopters" holding has presented a model of the helicopter's cockpit that is adapted to modern requirements for ergonomics and functionality. This layout would enable to work out several technologies at once, including a sensor "glass cockpit", forecasting and the decision-making support system, the news agency ATO writes.

Concept development for ergonomic cockpit is aimed at improving flight safety, the reliability and efficiency of helicopter crews. The information and control zone of the cockpit is formed in such a way as to reduce the psychophysical and intellectual costs during piloting, as well as to maintain their complete situational awareness.

During research, the layout of a promising cockpit will be updated by several concepts and technologies. In particular, the demonstrator will include a "glass cockpit" equipped with modern indicators and a single sensor dashboard. In addition, the promising cockpit will include the concept of optimal automation that implies the introduction of a "virtual pilot" and a rational distribution of functions.
