Direct flights between Qatar and Kazakhstan will be launched

Kazakhstan and Qatar intend to launch a direct flight on the Doha-Almaty-Doha route and mutually will introduce a visa-free regime for 30 days, Tengritravel.kz writes. According to the Ministry, the Kazakhstan delegation has agreed with the authorities and the business community of Qatar on the opening of Doha-Almaty route.  In October 2021,Qatar Airways will launch a direct flight twice a week.

"During the session, representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the national company Kazakh Tourism spoke about the tourism potential and investment opportunities of our country, especially the top 10 (resort zones Burabay, Bayanaul, Imantau-Shalkar, Mangistau,  Alakol and Balkhash lakes, Nur-Sultan and Turkestan, the Almaty mountain cluster and the Baikonur Cosmodrome), "the Kazakh Tourism stated.

It should be noted, the tourist flow of Qatar in the pre-pandemic period amounted to 75 percent of the total population. In 2019, with a population of 2.8 million, more than 2.1 million Qataris went on holiday abroad. In addition, the country is one of the global leaders measured by GDP per capita.
