Qatar Airways has rejected to operate the long-haul Airbus A350s until the reasons for the "accelerated deterioration of fuselages" are clarified. Previously, the airline has already contacted the European aircraft manufacturer on this issue, but has not yet received a response, the Tourism portal writes.
The company's decision to decline its newest aircrafts is prompted by concerns related to A350's carbon composite that was designed for light and cheap exploitation by using small amount of jet fuel. The airline stated that hot spots of corrosion under the paint on the aircraft body have arisen for quite some time.
The airline has pledged to do its utmost to ensure that passengers were comfortable due to the decommissioning of the A350s, thereby looking for alternatives to provide the same high level of service by returning the Airbus A330 to the fleet. The airline's leadership expects the Airbus would give serious consideration to the proposal by identifying the root causes and correcting the situation.
