Airbus signed the first CIS contract for pooling and maintenance

Air Manas, the Kyrgyz low-cost carrier and the first Airbus operator of the A220s in the CIS, also is the first Airbus customer in the region for one of its maintenance services, Flight Hour Services. The hourly service contract includes access to the Airbus spare parts and maintenance for the A220s, ATO writes.

"We are very pleased that Air Manas has become the first FHS Airbus customer in the CIS. We always strive to provide the highest level of support to our new customers. We look forward to working together and are pleased to contribute to the maintenance of the Air Manas fleet ", - said Julien Franyatt, the Head of Airbus in Russia and the CIS.

According to the European manufacturer, another benefit of this collaboration is the Airbus's engineering expertise as the most qualified supplier of components for the A220s, thereby improving the reliability of Air Manas fleet and simplifying the procedure for returning aircrafts to the lessor in the future. This is the first FHS contract for Airbus in Central Asia. The document was signed at the MAKS-2021 Moscow Air Show.
