According to Tengritravel.kz, the U.S. Department of Transportation will urge airlines to reimburse its passengers costs for baggage delays. Refunds to passengers for checked baggage by airlines will be part of the planned measures in the tourism industry.

Airlines will be required to refund delayed baggage charges if the baggage is not delivered to a passenger within 12 hours of arrival for domestic flights and within 25 hours of arrival for international routes. It is worth noting that most US airlines are taking fees from passengers for checking baggage, starting from $ 30 (12,800 tenge) for one unit. In Kazakhstan, baggage transportation is usually included in the ticket price.

After the signing of the relevant decree, it will be sent to transport officials. According to Bloomberg, in addition to refunds for delayed baggage and non-working Wi-Fi, it is also planned to refund money for low-quality services, such as preliminary seat selection and low service during the flight.
