Majilis has enacted the draft law on open skies of the USA and the Republic of Kazakhstan

Deputies have enacted the draft law, which stipulated the principles of open skies between Kazakhstan and the United States at the plenary session of the Majilis, according to the business information center Kapital.kz.

The appropriate committee is ready to introduce the draft law "On the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the United States of America on air traffic". This agreement provides for the principles of open skies under which the parties might operate without restrictions on the number of carriers, destinations and frequencies. The agreement would enable to increase external transport accessibility and expand the geography of international air routes.

It is worth noting that the corresponding agreement between two countries has been concluded in January 2020 and provides for the open skies principle in accordance with the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for further air transport liberalization.
