Emirates incurred losses for the first time in over 30 years

Middle East airline Emirates has reported financial results for fiscal 2020. For the first time in three decades, Dubai aviation group incurred losses. Commenting on the results, the Head of Emirates stated the airline has sufficient domestic resources and sustainable profitability to recover faster from the pandemic's impact than other market participants.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Said Al Maktoum, CEO of Emirates and Chairman of the group (including ground service provider Dnata in addition to the airline) said the airline intends to restore operational activities as soon as possible.
