Interfax reports that seven European countries, including Czech Republic, Germany, Bulgaria, Denmark, Greece, Poland and Croatia, have begun issuing unique green passports. This document would provide an opportunity to travel across the EU without restrictions.
According to the European Commission, passports containing a QR code are issued to everyone free of charge and will be available in digital or paper type. The document confirms that a person received a vaccine against COVID-19, has a negative PCR test result or a presence of antibodies following an illness.
The document is expected to be launched across the EU on July 1, after which all the member states must join the program within six weeks.
