Rossiya Airlines will test the passenger's digital passport IATA Travel Pass

In order to facilitate the safe resumption of international flights during the pandemic, Rossiya Airlines (part of the Aeroflot group) joined the testing of the IATA Travel Pass (ITP) mobile app and became the first company which are implement ITP based on the Russian Sirena-Travel booking system.
The IATA Travel Pass mobile app is a digital application developed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to verify and authenticate passenger data, national regulations regarding travel requirements in a pandemic period. The proposed solution would combine traveler COVID-19 testing and vaccination data with information on various states' requirements for rules of entry into their territories. The application will also contain information about laboratories certified in a particular country, where passengers can take test for COVID-19. According to the developers, the mobile application will significantly simplify the organization of international flights, make them more convenient for passengers, especially during a pandemic period, and will contribute to the restoration of the airline industry.
“Modern information technologies have firmly entered our life and are becoming an integral part of it. We are pleased to join the project, the goal of which is to simplify the process of organizing travel at the global level and make them as comfortable as possible,” says Sergey Aleksandrovsky, CEO of Rossiya Airlines.
"Russia" participates in the international program to ensure safe tourism Safe Travel and has been awarded the "Safe hospitality in St. Petersburg / Safe Travels SPB" sign.
Earlier this month, Azerbaijan's national carrier AZAL (Azerbaijan Airlines) decided to participate in the IATA Travel Pass testing.
