Global Air cargo has reached a record​

In March, the global airlines had increased their cargo transportation to the maximum since the beginning of data collection in 1990, according to the IATA's data. The indicator has increased by 4.4% compared to March 2019 (the comparison is made to the year before last since the COVID-19 pandemic has begun in 2020), Interfax-Kazakhstan writes.

A continued growth in world trade has a beneficial impact on traffic volumes. In February, the volume had risen by 0.3% for the ninth month in a row. Such long-term and continuous growth has not been occurred during two decades.

Airlines of the Asia-Pacific region showed a decrease in cargo transportation by 0.3% in March compared to the same month of 2019 and Latin America - by 23.6%. Meanwhile, indicators of North America have been increased by 14.5%, Europe - by 0.7%, the Middle East - by 9.2%, Africa - by 24.6%.
