Airbus is working on cargo versions of A350s and A380s

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus is launching a marketing campaign to promote its alleged cargo versions of the wide-body A350s and A380s. Both projects, but mainly the A350 might be a valuable addition to the Airbus product line, which after the completion of the A300 / A310 programs loses to Boeing in the wide-body cargo aircraft segment.

The project suppliers stated that the A350-based cargo aircraft could be expected after 2025, if the formal implementation takes place before the end of this year. Airbus' plans related to the A350-950F project seemed logical in front of encouraging cargo horizons that was grown due to the expansive development of e-commerce during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As for the super-large-capacity A380 Combi aircraft, at the present time figures and data on this project are limited. The new modification will keep the upper deck for passengers, and the main deck will be set aside for cargo. The Combi initiative partly uses elements of the original A380F aircraft design that was eventually abandoned, following the US express and mail companies FedEx and UPS canceled their orders for this version in 2006 and 2007 appropriately.
