Operating practices for unmanned aerial vehicles in the airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be amended by setting requirements for design and production of unmanned aircraft systems, as reported by profit.kz with reference to Zakon.kz.
“The UAV's types, design, production and maintenance will be determined and certified by introducing common requirements for: airworthiness of established categories; remote identification in terms of the frequency range; the composition of the transmitted information, as well as on ranking of UAVs, under which this system is mandatory for installation for operators with a maximum take-off weight of more than 30 kg, ”the MIID RK stated.
In addition, a new operation will be introduced into the category "certified" by setting requirements for both traditionally piloted aircrafts in terms of operator certification and licensing of external pilots, as well as requirements for the UAS's certificate ( by weight, operation or type of flight). Today, there are 279 unmanned aerial vehicles registered in the country.
