MIID RK discussed an upgrade of Kazakhstan airports

The Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting on development and upgrade issues relating to local airports. Participants, including representatives of regional akimats, the Civil Aviation Committee, the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, heads of airports and the RSE "Kazaeronavigatsia" discussed the implementation of infrastructural projects in Shymkent, Uralsk, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Urdzhar and Usharal. Moreover, participants considered further plans to increase the route network of the Turkestan airport.
Projects are being implemented under the Nurly Zhol State Infrastructure Development Program for 2020 - 2025.
The Civil Aviation Committee and local executive bodies were requested to promptly complete infrastructural projects by ensuring the smooth functioning of airports during reconstruction.
In the summer, due to the maintenance closure of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Urdzhar airports, the minister entrusted to provide the transport accessibility near the shore of Lake Alakol by increasing the carrying capacity from other types of transport (bus and railway communication).
