Last year, private jet sales have increased significantly since the global travel industry actually has terminated due to the COVID-19 pandemic and dozens of airlines went bankrupt, Interfax-Kazakhstan writes.
In general, 2.227 thousand aircrafts were sold worldwide in 2020, which represents an increase of 7.7% compared to 2019. Their total cost exceeded $ 14.5 billion. The pandemic has underscored the health risks associated with close contact related to other people on scheduled passenger flights. Apparently, new clients have been attracted by new possibilities of private market.
According to the European company GlobeAir, touchpoints and opportunities for personal interaction between people on private flights are much less than on commercial flights. At the same time, passengers of private aviation are most likely to get to the airport by their personal transport, and not by public transport. Moreover, cleaning in business aviation terminals is carried out more thoroughly and more regularly than in passenger terminals.
