The startup from Boston has decided to give a new insight into vehicle that combines the properties of an aircraft and vessel - a hovercraft, using modern technologies: an electric motor, an advanced flight control system and a hydrofoil in order to create an environmentally friendly, commercially efficient vehicle for the carriage of 10 passengers.

Reportedly, the surface glider might become an alternative to high-speed ferries and regional aviation in connecting coastal cities. Regent, as the company is called, has already received pre-orders from both ferry operators and small airlines operating between the islands, said Billy Thalheimer, the company's President.
