One year later after pandemic and when global airlines forced to the aviation crisis in terminating flights, governments of several countries have allocated $ 215 billion to financially support the industry, according to IATA's experts. The General Director of the Association Alexandre de Juniac thanked the governments for their public assistance to aviation enterprises, but urged them to continue supporting, the news agency ATO writes.

Once again, the IATA Chief has criticized uncoordinated quarantine restrictions imposed without any consultation and complained that no improvement had been made in containing subsequent waves of the pandemic. De Juniac cited as a positive example the UK government's industry recovery plan that airlines can rely on. He also praised the EU Green Pass initiative that has been submitted to the legislature.

The European Commission has launched a Digital Green Pass to validate passenger health status related to COVID-19 in order to facilitate the recovery of the EU aviation market. The Green Pass will be a certificate, identifying that a passenger has suffered from coronavirus, has negative test results or has been vaccinated. This data will be provided free of charge in digital or on paper by verifying QR code.
