Australian airline Qantas has begun offering day trips to an unknown destination for passengers. Thus, Qantas is attempting to involve more passengers, thereby stimulating the aviation industry, which has deteriorated sharply due to the pandemic, as reported by The Village.kz.
Flights will be operated by one of three Qantas Boeing 737 aircrafts from three largest Australian cities. Economic fares are starting from 737 Australian dollars (241,364 tenge). The ticket price also includes various attractions for the whole day: from winemaking and gourmet dining to diving on the tropical islands. Due to coronavirus restrictions, all the flights will be carried out inevitably within the country.
Airlines are being forced to invent new strategies against pandemic, aimed at attracting passengers for travelling. Last year, Qantas has become one of the first airlines to propose flights to nowhere, taking off and landing at the same airport and flying over iconic Australian landmarks.
