Despite the fact that mass vaccination keeps getting better, air trips are forced to be tightened by new virus strains, according to the IATA's forecasts, as reported by Tengritravel.kz.

According to the organization's website, the demand for international travel services in January 2021 was lower by 85.6 percent compared to the same month of 2019. Overall demand in January 2021 had decreased by 72 percent compared to January 2019. Referring to domestic flights, the current demand was lower by 47.4 percent compared to January 2019. This tendency mainly is attributed through tighter control over internal displacements in China during the New Year holidays.

Alexandre de Juniac said (IATA CEO) that the industry is now expected to spend from $ 75 billion to $ 95 billion, instead of gaining profit as previously assumed. Meanwhile, the aviation industry will be unable to pursue successfully the crisis without public support under such conditions.
