Dubai airport has launched an accelerated biometric border control

According to the ATOR, Dubai airport has launched a new system, enabling to pass border control in five seconds: travelers will not be checked by border police, but by the latest biometric face recognition system. In the future, passengers would be only required to pass through the terminal.

The new system has been installed at 122 Smart Gates in Dubai Air Harbor, including the departure and arrival zones. It should be noted, this innovative technology was first introduced in test mode by Emirates, their passengers had access to biometric control since last autumn. The new technology is now available to passengers of other airlines and for passengers who have attained the age of 17 years old.
