Qatar Airways launches Contactless Control Entertainment System

Qatar Airways is among the first in the world to offer passengers a possibility of completely Contactless Control Entertainment System on board. In the near future, the implementation of Zero-Touch technology on all the Airbus A350 wide-body aircrafts is aimed at developing the safety measures amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Zero-Touch technology provided jointly by Thales AVANT IFE will enable any A350's passenger to connect their own smart device with the entertainment screen in the seatback in front him. The main goal of Zero-Touch is to minimize the passenger's physical contact with surfaces on board by improving hygiene measures.

Qatar Airways will be the first company in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa to offer business and economy passengers an ability to remotely connect their personal headphones (equipped with Bluetooth) to the in-flight entertainment system on nine Boeing 787-9s.
