Etihad Airways became the first global airline which vaccinated the entire flight crew and flight attendants against COVID-19. The national carrier of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the single airline worldwide, requiring the COVID-19 analysis before each flight both for passengers and employees, the news agency ATO writes.

The UAE government has set a target to vaccinate half of the country's population by the end of March. Etihad has reported that the state's vaccination target is ahead of schedule, approximately 75% of all employees having completed at least the first stage of vaccination. In terms of vaccination rates, the UAE outperform the entire world behind Israel.

Etihad Airways recently has launched the mobile application IATA Travel Pass, assisting passengers to organize their trip in accordance with state requirements for PCR testing or COVID-19 vaccination.
