Chinese e-commerce company Jingdong (better known as JD.com) intends to launch its separate air cargo project to provide the rapidly growing online sales business, according to the news agency ATO.

The first step was to submit an application for the Jingdong Airlines and Jingdong Cargo Airlines brands, thereby assigning them to the company. The application for an Air Operator Certificate has not yet been submitted. JD Group has already attempted to organize its own air cargo transportation: in November 2018, the group began operating the Boeing 737-300F in partnership with Tianjin Airlines.

However, the aircraft was later sold to the municipal cargo airline Central Airlines. JD is currently using the Longhao Airlines charter services.
