The new UAE low-cost airline will be launched

According to the Profi.Travel, a new low-cost airline Wizz Air Abu Dhabi start operating in the Middle East. The first flight will be operated on January 15th, flying from Abu Dhabi to Athens (Greece).

Initially, the flight will be operated to the Greek capital twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. Since February 4, the low-cost airline will launch flights from Abu Dhabi to Thessaloniki (Greece) also twice a week. In the future, the company intends to significantly expand its route network, including Alexandria, Kutaisi, Larnaca, Odessa and Yerevan. Flights to these cities will be opened gradually, as the epidemiological situation become more accessible.

At the moment, the new low-cost airline has four Airbus A321neo aircrafts in its fleet, but soon the fleet will be replenished with several more aerial vehicles of this type. Besides, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi Development Corporation (ADQ) and Wizz Air Holdings.
