The Head of MIID RK met with a representative of the "Russian Helicopters" company

On December 11, the Minister for Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov met with the First Deputy Director General of the JSC "Russian Helicopters" Sergey Fomin.

At the session, both parties had discussed the implementation of a joint Kazakh-Russian project for the assembly of MI-8 helicopters at the factory No. 405, Almaty.

The first civilian helicopter was assembled, completed flight testing and is actually prepared for the assumption of responsibilities by the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan. In total, it is planned to put into operation eight Kazakhstan-assembled vehicles within the year. Sergey Fomin pointed out the professional skills and competency of Kazakhstan engineers and specialists.

During the session it was ascertained that the legal arrangements and the transfer of technical documentation to the Kazakh side were carried out for three years. As the result, the first MI-8 rotory-wing vehicle was assembled in Kazakhstan.

During the meeting of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on his state visit to Kazakhstan in 2015, it was approved to launch the industrial cooperation and the assembly of helicopters in Kazakhstan.

The project implementation is one of the solid indicators of the Kazakhstan-Russian industrial cooperation.
