On December 5, Air Astana launches direct flights to Maldives

According to Air Astana, flights will be operated from Almaty twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays from December 5, and additionally on Mondays from December 21, 2020.

Ticket economy prices in both directions, including airport, fuel and other taxes are starting from 292.5 thousand tenge, in business class from 1.671 million tenge.

Reportedly, the visa is issued free of charge upon arrival at the airport after applying online and is valid for 30 days from the date of receipt.

"To enter the Republic of Maldives, passengers are obliged to have a PCR test certificate (a test result should not exceed 96 hours before arrival time) with a negative result in English. Children under 1 year old are exempt from the test," the airline said.

The company also reminds that citizens arriving in Kazakhstan from foreign states are required to have a PCR certificate with a negative test result for COVID-19, valid for 3 days from the date of issue prior to arriving in Kazakhstan.
