Emirates Airlines (UAE) has installed next-generation self-check-in and baggage drop-off points at Dubai International Airport. This service is available to passengers traveling to all directions of the air carrier, with the exception of the USA, Canada, China, India and Hong Kong, where additional requirements apply, the news agency ATO writes.
New terminals will enable to reduce the waiting time during loading peak and improve the quality of the services provided to clients. These points would enable the passengers to check in on their own, get a boarding pass, choose a seat on the board, and hand-in their luggage. Due to innovation, passengers will be able to quickly check in, thereby passing the immigration control. Points are regularly sanitized and disinfected.
This technological solution was developed by Emirates experts in collaboration with Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects and Dubai Airports. Expectedly, self-check-in technologies will be improved by offering new capabilities, including contactless service function and self-rebooking in the future.
