Kazakhstan proposes to mainstream tourism industries of the CIS countries

Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, has offered to governments of the CIS countries to mainstream tourism industries, affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The tourism industry is the most affected section by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Interfax.
"Given the high level of trust and existing economic relations, the touristic integration of our countries has great potential in order to create tourism package offers within the CIS. According to the latest report of the World Tourism Organization, the number of international arrivals in the first eight months of 2020 has been decreased by 70%. At this stage, it is already clear that the further development of the industry will take place against the background of increased risks and costs associated with doing business in the current and likely re-pandemic", A.Mamin said at the CIS Council of Heads of Government session.
"Under the new conditions, several countries are already actively engaged in the adaptation of national tourism sectors to compete in the new realities. In particular, there is a large-scale vertical integration of airlines, hotel business, companies that manage cultural, touristic facilities in order to create a more affordable, simple and competitive product" , - added the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
