A memorandum of understanding and cooperation was signed by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine

Following a session, which was held on November 12, 2020 in Nur-Sultan, the Vice-Minister for Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Kamaliev and Minister for Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladislav Krykliy were signed the memorandum.
Heads of ministries have discussed a development cooperation regarding transport infrastructure, as well as conditions for implementing a single transit permit between participants of the TRASECA project to increase the competitiveness of the corridor.
Currently, permits are printed on paper document, but Kazakhstan jointly with partners is actively engaged in converting these blanks to electronic format. Hungary, Germany, Greece, Iran, Latvia, Moldova, Slovakia, Switzerland and Turkey have already supported the proposal of Kazakhstan. Ukraine was also in favour of keeping the information technology.
Participants of the Kazakh-Ukrainian session have elaborated on cooperation projects for civil aviation, railway transport and international cargo transportations between countries, as well as the possibility of attracting additional cargo traffic in the direction of China - Kazakhstan - Azerbaijan - Georgia - Ukraine - European countries using seaports of the Black and Caspian Seas.
At the end of the session, parties expressed appreciation for results of those negotiations and signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in creating the innovative technologies and information systems, on the procedure for exchanging permits for international cargo transportation.
