Thai Airways sells its aircrafts

Thai Airways has put up 34 passenger aircrafts for sale.
Aircrafts such as Boeing 747, Boeing 777-200 / 300, as well as Airbus A340-600, A340-500, 737-400 and A300-600 are on sale.
All proceeds from asset sales will be applied to repaying the airline's debt, which is estimated at 300 billion baht (about $ 10 billion). In total, the company owns 96 aircrafts. Reportedly, Thai national air carrier has had financial problems for a long time, led the company to apply to the Bankruptcy Court of Thailand and the company filed for a business reorganization in May 2020. The court approved the application in September.
Meanwhile, based on public data, Bloomberg experts have compiled a list of airlines which might declare a default by the end of the year: Aeromexico, AirAsia and Thai Airways. Pakistan International, Tanzanian Precision Air, Brazilian Azul and Gol and Nigerian Medview might also declare bankruptcy.
