Meteorological support and information Department
In accordance with the amendments and addendums to the Charter of “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE and according to the order of the Director General of “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE, from November 11, 2015 “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE carries out MET services.
Meteorological services are provided within the area of air traffic services of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Meteorological support is carried out in accordance with requirements of the national document - the Rules of meteorological support of civil aviation. Meteorological information is provided by ATS services, aircraft crews, airport services, and search and rescue services.
To coordinate the activities of meteorological services of the branches, Meteorological Support and Information Department was created.
The main objectives of the Department are:
- meteorological support of civil aviation in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan and aviation activities;
- ensuring the continuous operation of meteorological equipment and automated systems.
Meteorological Support and Information Department provides methodological guidance for all meteorological services based on the ICAO / WMO guidelines, which is presented in the form of methodological material
